Save our Sonoma is excited to share the news about a newly formed Election Canvass Team that is advocating for legal certifiable voters in Sonoma County. With elections just around the corner, see what they have done so far…
“Voters need to know that their votes count, and their voices are heard.”
In April and May 2023, an invitation was extended to Sonoma County elected representatives to attend a Nonpartisan Election Integrity Event (held locally on May 21) in order to to learn more about election integrity alongside their constituency. The invitation was declined by our representatives.
In June 2023, a newly established Election Canvassing Team, comprised of Sonoma County voters, conducted the first ever election canvass effort in Sonoma County to explore the transparency and accountability of our election systems. The objective was to verify the accuracy of Sonoma County voter rolls. Results were eye-opening! Read the public statement, presented on October 3rd, outlining it all (found below).
On 11 August 2023, the preliminary findings of that initial canvass were presented to the Santa Rosa Registrar of Voters, with whom the election canvass team is still in communication.
On 3 October 2023, seven members of the Sonoma County Election Canvass team presented a statement to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors through in-person public comment, which included the findings reported to the Office of the Registrar of Voters.

The video recorded presentation from Oct 3rd at 3:00 pm is now public record and available to view, HERE »
The first seven presenters comprise some of the Sonoma County Election Canvass Team — speakers included: Rhonda Provost, Laura Freedman, Deb Tribbey, Jackie Braun, Karen Harrison, Craig Hanson, and Orlean Koehle.
“Our position is that all voters need to have confidence in our elections. Elections are the backbone of our Democracy. Voters need to know that their votes count, and that their voices are heard. All we seek, all anybody really wants is the truth. If our election systems are broken, we need to repair them and restore faith in our elections.”

Before entering the Board Chambers on Oct 3, 2023 the team gathered and prayed:
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God: and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” ~Philippians 4:6
