1. We Kissed the “Bad Bills” Goodbye
We have FINALLY finished this exhausting year of legislative action, and with MANY successes!
We followed these horrendous bills from committee to committee, senate to house, (and back). We were calling, writing, searching and updating our educational materials for media outreach — we did in fact have a big part in the final outcome. We so appreciate all those who took part in making this happen.
Here is the verdict as of 09-01-22:
11 bills proposed
1 bill enacted into law
5 bills cancelled by author (or not referred forward by Aug 31) details in image.
5 bills Enrolled and passed (heading to Governor Newsom)
Ready for our push to veto all five. Some bills may warrant future litigation. (CHD-CA has informed us that they are preparing for legal action.)

CALLS TO ACTION THIS WEEK: https://www.saveoursonoma.com/action
Please copy this image (and more) from our educational materials section, then print, distribute and post on social media. (Tag @GavinNewsom telling him to VETO AB 2098, AB 1797, SB 1479, SB 1940.)
He has until September 30th to sign bills into law. Don’t wait contact him. We need a massive amount of calls, tweets and emails to make an impact. Please take the following action steps today!
Call Governor Newsom’s office (916) 445-2841
Email his office via email portal.
Please send these Superstars our appreciation in any way you can! Here is a “Thank You” list for the members of Congress who heard our public comment along the way. They refused to partake in supporting minor consent. Bravo!
»» Save our Sonoma members were a part of the movement to sign the DECLARATION OF OPPOSITION to SB866. AND WE WON! SB866 was never brought to the floor (Wiener couldn’t get the votes). You gotta read this statement:
(Are you just as outraged as we are with his writings, persecuting and shaming concerned parents?)
HOW WE DID IT:
"In less than 6 days, 3100 citizens and hundreds of organizations have co-signed THE DECLARATION OF OPPOSITION by PERK - all united to defeat SB 866. A real unity, with a common unwavering purpose, bringing together Republicans, Democrats, vaccinated and non-vaccinated, faith leaders, parents, grand parents, citizens, members of all races, creeds and walks of life.
You are what made history today. This is how we defeated SB 866. This victory will ripple across the nation as a clarion call and symbol that we CAN WIN. No one comes between us and our children. CALIFORNIA YOU DID IT!
Thank you,
-PERK TEAM"
…and there we are, SOS (highlighted in second column)!

The City of San Francisco has FIRED unvaccinated frontline heroes who selflessly served the public throughout the pandemic. The City and County of San Francisco has broken state and federal laws—not to mention the vaccine policy is unconstitutional. https://sfrights.org/ now has several lawsuits against the City and County of San Francisco.
I am sorry to put this here, it is not great news for vaccination v/s pregnancy- but an imortant read, and we hope prospective parents will learn more.
Dr. Mercola covered this devistating topic-
New Pfizer Data Reveal Horrifying Rates of Miscarriage
Jab-maker Pfizer lied when they said their experimental COVID shots were harmless for women who are pregnant now, or might become pregnant in the future. Released data (which the FDA wanted buried for 75 years) tell a whole different story, with alarming news concerning males, females and unborn children.
Then again, in a Labor of Love- please look out for girls right to privacy and fair athletics, if it intrests you. here is an ask for help from Parents Defending Education a 501(c)(3) charitable organization":
‘We only have a few weeks left to stop the Biden Administration’s proposed rule changes to Title IX.
We need to overwhelm the Department of Education with comments in opposition to the Title IX rewrite because if the changes go through, every school that receives federal funding will be required to allow biological boys who identify as female into girls’ restrooms and locker rooms.
Grown men who identify as women will also be guaranteed access to spaces that have always been private places for girls to change their clothes and go to the bathroom. Sleeping arrangements on overnight field trips will be based on gender identity and any boy or adult male who identifies as female will be allowed to share sleeping quarters with the girls.
Boys will be allowed to join the girls’ athletic teams and compete against only girls if they say they identify as female. This is not only unfair but presents a massive safety risk.
We need your help and the help of your friends, neighbors and family to drive as many comments to the Department of Education as possible.
In the name of fairness and safety, please take a moment to submit a comment right now. Submit Your Comment
