Urgent Messages & NEW Calls to Action from PERK and CHD!
Here's you last chance to have an impact. We are close to defeating SB866! A warm thanks to all of you who persistently made calls. We now need to step it up during this last final week.
SB 866 “Declaration of Opposition”
Dear Concerned Sonoma County Resident:
We are launching one last PERK initiative/campaign to kill the bill, SB866, and we need your help. In the final stretch here, we are launching the SB866 Declaration of Opposition. We want to send one final message of strength and unity- Together Opposing This Bill- with your help, will be IMPACTFUL.
OUR ASK
Co-sign the SB866 Declaration of Opposition here.
Share it with other groups, principals, superintendents, churches, pastors, leaders, organizations, people, elected officials, to co-sign with us.
Please Don’t Wait. We only have a few days to receive signatures and send this to the key legislators. We will also give it to all Assembly Members and Senators. Please co-sign with us. We have a second action and strategy for social media as well, but this action comes first.
With this Declaration, I am confident we will continue showing our united and strong opposition to this bill. PERK has successfully worked together with other amazing organizations. Together, we have launched multiple initiatives, trips to the capitol, planned advocacy days, video campaigns, calls to action, social media campaigns, and more. Our core teams, including several other grass roots organizations, will continue to make vital trips to the capitol for key in-person meetings this week and next.
We have known all along we can kill this bill. I genuinely believed this from day one. This is our last big initiative. Let’s kill this bill once and for all. Join the movement and sign here.
Amy Bohn, PERK President

Dear Sonoma County Resident,
We hope this finds you and yours healthy and well!
As we enter the last week of Legislative Season, our eyes remain focused on SB 866, the Minor Consent Bill. Every day the Legislature meets, the bill has consistently been slated for a vote, but yet, as of writing this email, it remains in limbo!
Despite bought-news sources such as the LA Times endorsing SB 866, our Legislators know that their constituents do not support Minor Consent to medical procedures.
Congratulate Yourselves!
Your calls, emails, meetings, Tweets, and other social media posts are working!
BUT OUR CALL TO ACTION REMAINS THE SAME
Please continue to voice your opinion. Call, email, and then call again. Your voices are being heard!

Bad Bills Still in Play in California:
The California Legislature is still trying to pass multiple bills related to COVID-19 school testing and on-site services, such as -
AB 1940 - would establish on-site, school "health centers" that will double as vaccination sites.
SB 1419 - will seal minor's medical records so parents will not know what type of medical treatment their children receive at school and without parental consent.
AB 1797 - will create a mandatory state-wide vaccine registry.
AB 2098 - will silence and punish doctors who may speak out against the current governmental narrative about the treatment of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.
SB 1479 Update:
Sadly, SB 1479 - that enacts Continuous COVID-19 testing in schools - passed the Assembly and is headed to Governor Newsom's desk. SB 1479: 'Covid testing plans' for K-12 schools This was despite them getting a lot of phone calls urging them to speak on the floor, as well as receiving the following…

The CDC now recommends against screening, tracking, and quarantining asymptomatic children, and that being unvaccinated can't be a basis for kicking kids out of class. This bill's goal of continuing to test, tracking, and quarantine children unnecessarily burdens our schools, our children, and our families. It deserves your veto."
This bill is estimated to cost taxpayers over $1.3 Billion for testing per year !!!
